Emrig May 31st Swap Meet

This was arguably the largest swap meet hosted by the club in its history with 39 tables of goodies for sale. This event also saw the Bloemfontein “Dream Trains” taking 10 tables alone. Also there were the usual folk like Dick the tree man, Mervyn and team, and a host of others. However, not only was it well attended by sellers, there were substantially more buyers looking for that bargain or item they have been wanting for many a year.

The event was such a hit, even the pony club who organise and supply the drinks, boerewors and hamburgers were put to work trying to keep up with the unusual demand.

A very big plus was the venue. A big thanks goes out to the staff and owners of the Northmead Mall who allow the club to use the facilities. Arguably the modern and pleasant venue went a long way to attracting everyone.
